Funeral services for Flora Mae Newton Humphries of Chicago, Ill., are Friday, Jan. 3, at St. James AME Church in Chicago, with burial in Chicago. Taylor Funeral Home, LTD. is in charge of arrangements. A memorial service will be held in Brookhaven in July 2014,

Mrs. Humphries, died in Chicago, Dec. 29, 2013.

Survivors are her daughter, Linda Bates of Brookhaven, and her sister, Chester Newton.
