Funeral services for George Carl Tyler of Monticello are 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, at Mt. Pleasant M.B. Church, Sontag, with burial in the church cemetery. Williams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday from 1 until 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Tyler, 101, died April 18, 2014, at the Lawrence County Nursing Center. He was born on August 2, 1912, in Lawrence County to John Tyler and Martha Collins Tyler.
