BOGUE CHITTO — A hay truck caught fire in Lincoln County Monday afternoon.

County Emergency Management Agency director Chris Reid confirmed reports of a hay truck on fire. Volunteer fire departments and Forestry battled the blaze.

The hay was being transported when it caught fire going down the road.

The fire was on Auburn Drive near the intersection of Arlington Drive. Bogue Chitto, Hog Chain,  Zetus and East Lincoln VFDs put it out.
