A Brookhaven man was robbed at gunpoint Wednesday on CrookedLane around 10:15 p.m., after he was picked up while walking downthe road. Authorities believe the subject may have known the manwho offered him a ride, but did not expect the man to pull a gun onhim and demand money.

“We have a good idea of who’s involved in it and a good report,”said Sheriff Lynn Boyte. “Hopefully, we can make an arrest on it.We hope to do that today.”

An undislosed amount of money was taken in the robbery.
