Mr. Lawrence, 82, died April 3, 2001, at Forrest GeneralHospital. He was born in Lincoln County to William Caro and MaeRetta Lawrence.

He was a retired construction carpenter. He was a member ofMercies of God.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his sister, OneidaSmith.

Survivors are his wife, Loyette McMurphy Lawrence; his sonsRonnie Lawrence, Kenneth Lawrence, Mitchell Lawrence, and MichaelLawrence, all of Wiggins; his daughters, Carol Fore of Pascagoulaand Elaine Moore of Duson, La.; his sisters, LoVida Clyburn andLaVelle White, both of Brookhaven; and LaVaun Cupit of Ferriday,La.; and 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
