Services for Herbert E. Wilson of Monticello are 2 p.m. today atWilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Carmel Baptist ChurchCemetery.

Mr. Wilson, 77, died April 6, 2002, at Wesley Medical Center inHattiesburg. He was born in Monticello on Nov. 24, 1924, to JohnHenry and Ada Angeline Hedgepeth Wilson.

He was retired from road work construction with Lawrence County.He was a member of Carmel Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brothers,Dudley and Thomas Wilson.

Survivors are his wife, LaMae Coleman Wilson of Monticello; hisstepson, David D. Long of New Hebron; his brother, Homer B.”Buster” Wilson of Monticello; his half-brother, Ray Wilson ofMonticello; his sisters, Mae Bell Beam, Wadie Raines Wilson, andMary McNeese, all of Monticello, Polly W. Reid of Texas, and KayCourson of Kingston, Ala.; and three grandchildren and onegreat-grandchild.
