Services for William George Hitchner of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.Monday, Oct. 21, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation is Monday from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Hitchner, 72, died Oct. 19, 2002, at St. Dominic Hospital inJackson. He was born in Camden, N.J., on Nov. 18, 1929, to ClydeGeorge Hitchner and Laura Grace Little.

He was a retired engineer from Hartley Gove and Sons. He was ofthe Methodist faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Patricia Hitchner of Brookhaven; hissons, Richard Hitchner of Whitefield, Colo., David Hitchner ofBaton Rouge, La., and Devin Hitchner of Crestview, Fla.; hisdaughters, Denise Selvia of Counce, Tenn., Janet Matula of Walls,Elizabeth Hall of Brookhaven, and Mary Brister of Baton Rouge; 15grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
