Services for Bud Moncrief of Brookhaven are 2 p.m., Saturday,Nov. 29, at First Methodist Church in Brookhaven with burial inEasthaven Cemetery.
Visitation is Friday, Nov. 28, from 5-8 p.m. at BrookhavenFuneral Home, and on Saturday at the church at 1 p.m. until thetime of the service.
Mr. Moncrief, 92, died Nov. 26, 2003, at Hardy Wilson Hospitalin Hazlehurst. He was born in Louisiana on Feb. 26, 1911, to MarvinW. Moncrief and Annie Shaffer Moncrief.
He was a truck driver for Marshall R. Young Oil Company andHalburton Oil Company. He was a faithful member of First MethodistChurch, where he was a past board member.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two sisters, NoraEdmondson and Hattie Pavey, and two brothers, Edwin Moncrief andEmory Moncrief.
Survivors are his wife of 67 years, Dovie Louise Bailey Moncriefof Brookhaven; his daughters, Ann Morris of Brookhaven and MelodyBoyd of Florence; his sons, Baily Moncrief of Clinton and LoyMoncrief of Jackson; his brothers, Euell Moncrief of Madison,Orland Moncrief of Shreveport, La., and Carl Moncrief of Gibsland,La.; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
