Kornell Larrance “Shot” Fox
Services for Kornell Larrance “Shot” Fox of Wesson are 11 a.m.,Saturday, Dec. 13, at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church withburial in the church cemetery.
Visitation is Friday from 3-5 p.m., at Williams Mortuary, andSaturday from 10-11 a.m., at the church.
Mr. Fox, 32, died Dec. 9, 2003, at University Medical Center inJackson from injuries sustained Dec. 6 in an accident on New SightDrive. He was born in Wesson on May 28, 1971, to Alcee Corley andRosie Fox Vance.
He was a roofer for William Jones Roofing and a member of ZionHill Missionary Baptist Church. He was a 1989 graduate of Loyd StarSchool.
Preceding him in death was his father.
Survivors are his mother and stepfather, Rosie “Sally” Fox Vanceand Albert Vance, both of Wesson; his wife, Rhonda Fox of Wesson;his daughters, Chiquita Daniels of Wesson, and Kala Black ofBrookhaven; his sisters, Rosalyn Reese of Sontag, and Shemika Blackof Brookhaven; his brothers, Reginald Fox and Derrick Fox, both ofWesson; and many nieces and nephews.
Florabell Hester Hutson
Services for Florabell Hester Hutson of Baton Rouge, La., were3:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 10, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapelwith burial in Wesson Cemetery.
Mrs. Hutson, 96, died Dec. 7, 2003, at her residence. She wasborn in Wesson on Oct. 10, 1907.
She was a retired packer for Standard Brand Coffee in NewOrleans, La. She was a member of Walker Baptist Church, where shewas a member of WMU.
Preceding her in death were her husband, T.J. Hutson; hersisters, Eldora Roblin and Eva Stubbs; and her brother, VirgilHester.
Survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and JohnHowze of Walker, La.; her grandchildren, D’Etta Ringleman ofArvada, Colo., Trina Knott of Slidell, La., and Lester Knott Jr.,John Kelly Howze and Jay Howze, all of Walker; and sixgreat-grandchildren.
Gloria Collins Jackson
Services for Gloria Collins Jackson of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.,Saturday, Dec. 13, at Alexander Junior High School Auditorium withburial in Ebenezer African Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery.
Visitation is Friday from noon until 6 p.m., at Tyler FuneralHome.
Mrs. Jackson, 41, died Dec. 8, 2003, at her residence. She wasborn in Brookhaven on Jan. 31, 1962, to Elzie Collins and BerthaButler Collins.
She was a dispatcher at Wal-Mart Distribution Center inBrookhaven. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnessesand the Ebony Club. She served as secretary of the Brookhaven HighSchool Band Boosters.
Survivors are her ex-husband, Robert Jackson of Kentucky; herdaughter, DeAndrean Jazman Jackson of Brookhaven; her son,Dejarnette J. Jackson of Ft. Polk, La.; her sisters, Eula Franklinof Brookhaven, and Jackie Vance of Dwight, Ill.; and onegranddaughter.
