Services for Charles E. Williams of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.Thursday, Sept. 23, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burialin Riverwood Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5-10 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Williams, 83, died Sept. 20, 2004, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. He was born in Franklin County on July 20, 1921, toJess E. Williams and Jessie White Williams.

He was a retired heavy equipment operator for Southwest Paving.He was an Army veteran of World World II and member of MacedoniaBaptist Church. He and his wife Genevieve Case Williams celebratedtheir 60th wedding anniversary in July.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, JamesWilliams and Wayne Williams; and one sister, Mary LeeMontgomery.

Survivors are his wife; his daughter, Abigail Smith and herhusband, Bobby, of Brookhaven; his sons, Jeddiah Williams and hiswife, Lynda, and Edwin Williams and his wife, Linda, all ofBrookhaven; his sisters, Haseltine Bounds and her husband, Buster,of Brookhaven, and Ruby Katzes of Meridian; his brother, SheltonWilliams and his wife, Audrey, of Brookhaven; nine grandchildren;and 12 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Smith, Brad Smith, Joe Williams, RustyWilliams, Luke Williams and Jonothan Williams.
