A Wesson man faces sale of cocaine charges following a lengthyinvestigation into alleged narcotics activity at a Lincoln Countyrecreational area, authorities said.

Lorenzo Sanders, 31, was arrested Thursday after being indictedon one count of sale of cocaine during last week’s grand jury term,said John Whitaker, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Departmentinvestigator. He remained in jail Thursday afternoon.

“This is following an investigation over several months,”Whitaker said. “More arrests are to be expected.”

Whitaker said the investigation stemmed from narcotics activitycomplaints at the Timberlane Campgrounds recreational area. He saidLincoln and Copiah county authorities participated in the jointinvestigation.

“It’s the beginning to a response to many complaints we had atthe campgrounds,” Whitaker said.
