Services for Emma R. Lofton, of Hattiesburg, are 2 p.m.Wednesday, Dec. 13, at Cold Springs Church of Christ in BogueChitto with burial in Stewart Cemetery in Bogue Chitto. BrookhavenFuneral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is today from 6 until 10 p.m. at the funeral home,and on Wednesday from 1 until 2 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Lofton, 99, died Dec. 10, 2006, at Forrest General Hospitalin Hattiesburg. She was born in Lincoln County on May 14, 1907, toJohn Richardson and Alice Faye Brister Richardson.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Cold Springs Church ofChrist.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands, BobRippie, Robert McGlade Richardson and Hollis Lofton; her sons,Robert Rippie and John Rippie; her two brothers; and her sixsisters.

Survivors are her daughters, Eunice “Bonnie” Adams and husbandEliger Adams, of Bogue Chitto, Sara Monistere, of Hammond, La., andMildred Cook, of Hattiesburg; her brother, Julius Richardson andwife Ellen, of Lincoln County; her sister, Ida Davis, of Lucedale;and an abundance of grandchildren, great-grandchildren andgreat-great-grandchildren.
