Labor availability study results released Thursday

The Southwest Mississippi Partnership, an economic developmentcoalition, will present the results of a labor availability studyThursday at Copiah-Lincoln Community College.
The Southwest Mississippi Economic Forum will feature theSouthwest Mississippi Labor Availability Report from 3 to 4:30 p.m.at Co-Lin’s Thames Center. The study was compiled by David Brandonof the Pathfinders Group of Dallas.
The report focuses on the characteristics of the area’s laborforce and surrounding Louisiana parishes and Mississippi counties.It includes statistics on the availability of various types oflabor, skills and education levels.
The Southwest Mississippi Partnership includes economicdevelopment officials from Claiborne, Jefferson, Adams, Wilkinson,Franklin, Amite, Lincoln, Pike, Lawrence and Walthall counties.
