Graveside services for Richard H. Stevens, of Columbia, wereheld on Saturday, May 19, at Woodlawn Cemetery. The Rev. WarrenSelman officiated. Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia was in chargeof arrangements.

Mr. Stevens, 65, died May 17, 2007, at Forrest GeneralHospital.

A native of Washington, D.C., he was an environmentalist for theMississippi Department of Health. He was a member of St. Stephen’sEpiscopal Church.

Survivors are his wife, Margarete Smith Stevens, of Columbia;his sons, Charles Harrison Jr., of Phoenix, Ariz., and John AndrewHarrison and Michael H. Stevens, both of Columbia; his sisters,Joyce Stevens and Brittany Stevens, both of Dallas, Texas; and histhree grandchildren.
