Services for Ouida Waldrop Lee, of Conyers, Ga., were heldMonday, July 16, 2007, at Tom M. Wages Funeral Service inSnellville, Ga., with burial in Dawn Memorial Park in Decatur, Ga.Dr. Nina Gunter, Dr. Dan Casey, the Rev. Paul Canen and the Rev.Ivan Rexroth officiated the service.
Mrs. Lee, 84, died July 12, 2007, at Piedmont Hospital inAtlanta, Ga., after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born Dec.19, 1922, in Brookhaven, to Gary and Wille Russell Waldrop. She wasa 1940 graduate of East Lincoln High School and a 1950 graduate ofBethany Nazarene College in Bethany, Okla. She and her husband, Dr.Jack H. Lee, served in the ministry of the Church of the Nazarenefor more than 30 years before his death in 1982.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; herdaughter, Jacquelyn Beth Lee; her brothers, James Russell Waldropand Roger Dale Waldrop; and her sisters, Flora Nell Thompson andMaiblume Hall.
She is survived by her daughters, Dinah Lee Huff, of Tijeras,N.M., Jenni Lee Knippers, of Bethany, and Becki Lee Darland, ofCedar Rapids, Iowa; her sisters, Loyce McCloud, of Brookhaven, JeanRose Caves, of Jayess, and Joyce Doerner, of Foxworth; her brother,Durwood Waldrop, of Monroe, La.; her five grandchildren and twogreat-grandchildren.
