Services for Mizie White Leggitt, of Brookhaven, will be held at2 p.m. on Sunday, April 20, at Riverwood Family Funeral ServiceChapel.

Visitation is Sunday from noon until the time of theservice.

Mrs. Leggitt, 96, died April 11, 2008. She was born inBrookhaven on Oct. 25, 1911, to Palestine Lilly White and ArchieFailey White Sr. She was a resident of Brook Manor Nursing Home atthe time of her death.

In her lifetime, she held various jobs in factories, dressstores and restaurants. She worked for 19 years at El ChicoRestaurant during the time she lived in Shreveport, La.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands, ClaudePell and Holman Leggitt; her son, Hollis Pell; her brothers,Charlie White, Shelby White and Archie White Jr.; her sisters,Bertie Mae Clark, Gladie Johnson and Claudia Ruth Martin.

Survivors are her grandchildren, Karen Elizabeth Kuchinski andRebbecca Jane McCann; her great-grandchildren, Jennifer McCann,Nicholas Steel Kuchinski, Melynda Rose Kuchinski and Robert GeraldKuchinski Jr.; and a daughter-in-law, Queenie Pell.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American CancerSociety, Harmony Baptist Church or Southway Baptist Church.
