Services for Sheldon Elliot Burns, of Lexington, Ky., are 11a.m. Sunday, Jan. 31, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel with burialin Concord Baptist Church Cemetery in McCall Creek.

Visitation is Sunday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Burns, 92, died Jan. 28, 2009, at Thompson-Hood VeteransCenter in Wilmore, Ky. He was born on Nov. 7, 1916, to Henry A.Burns and Maggie Price.

He had a military career with in the U.S Air Force serving inWorld War II, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Elaine C. Burns, of Lexington; hisdaughters, Patricia Dianne Guinn and husband, Jerry, of Lexington,and Gwendolyn Hinkel and husband, Steve, of Tallahasse, Fla.; histwo grandchildren, Denise Spittler, of Georgetown, Ky., and MatthewHinkel, of Tallahasse.
