Services for Oscar Warren Cole, of Bogue Chitto, are 11 a.m.Tuesday, Jan. 5, at Shady Grove Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Visitation is Monday from 4 until 8 p.m. at Brookhaven FuneralHome on North Jackson Street and Tuesday from 10 until 11 a.m. atthe church.

Mr. Cole, 89, died Jan. 3, 2010, at Hospice Ministries inRidgeland. He was born in Brookhaven on Dec. 19, 1920, to JohnFranklin Cole and Lula McCullough Cole.

He was a supervisor for the Kellwood Co. in Fernwood. He alsoserved in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Cole loved peopleof the community and was always helping people. He was a verygenerous person. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Churchwhere he served as deacon, church clerk and Sunday school teacherfor many years.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, AlphaeusCole and Harry Cole; and his sisters, Ruth Green and ElizabethForstall.

Survivors are his wife, Faye Anglin Cole, of Jackson; adaughter, Marcia Walker and husband, Larry, of Madison; abrother-in-law, Earl Forstall, of New Orleans, La.; asister-in-law, Willie Cole Ward, of Bogue Chitto; and numerousnieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Lane Cole, John Cole, Tom Cole, Franklin Moak,Herman Moak and Bobby Nelson.

Honorary pallbearers are James Hux and Ronald Dale Jones.
