Services for Frank Arnold McDavid, a native of Brookhaven and aresident of Baton Rouge, La., were held at 11 a.m. Monday, March22, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel on Natchez Drive, with burialin Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven. The Rev.David Fortenberry officiated. Rabenhorst Funeral Home East in BatonRouge, and Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive were in chargeof arrangements.

Local visitation was held at Brookhaven Funeral Home on NatchezDrive on Sunday from 3 until 8 p.m. and on Monday from 9 a.m. untilthe time of the service.

Mr. McDavid, 81, died at 3:20 p.m. on March 18, 2010, at Our Ladyof the Lake Regional Medical Center.

He was a retired printer and pressman and a U.S. Army veteran ofthe Korean War. He was a member of Fair River Baptist Church inBrookhaven and was involved with the Boy Scouts, Mississippi Landand Forestry Association, Mississippi Cattlemen’s Association, andvarious community civic groups.

Preceding him in death were his wife of 52 years, Helen BahmMcDavid; his parents, George D. Sr. and Wilmer Lewis McDavid; hisbrother, George Dewey McDavid Jr.; and his sister, Irene McDavidPorter.

Survivors are his daughter, Deborah Matherne and husband, Paul; hissons, Keith McDavid and wife, Tamara, and Ricky McDavid and wife,Sharon; his sister, Marguerite McDavid Williams; and hisgrandchildren, Brian McDavid, Benjamin Boyett, Royce Matherne,Darla Matherne, Nathaniel McDavid and Jerry Matherne.

Pallbearers were his grandsons, and Paul Matherne and AltonPorter.
