Ora Mae Buie

Services for Ora Mae Buie, of Meadville, are 10 a.m. Thursday,March 25, at Sarepta Baptist Church in Franklin County, with burialin the church cemetery. Officiating are the Rev. Billy House andBilly Joe Deer. Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday beginning at 5 p.m. at the church.

Mrs., Buie, 89, died March 22, 2010, at Brook Manor Nursing Centerin Brookhaven. She was born in Jefferson County on May 3, 1920, toMonroe Ezell and Lula Sullivan Ezell.

She was a school bus driver and a cafeteria dieticianmanager.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, James R. BuieSr.; and a brother.

Survivors are her son, James Buie Jr. and wife, Maxine, ofMeadville; her two grandsons and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Robert Buie, Randy Buie, Herman Osborne, SamOsborne, Robin Farrell and John Smith. Honorary pallbearers areEstes Carwyle, John Foy Sr., Ken Carwyle, Ronnie Carwyle, WayneJohnson, Jackie Whittington and Andy Smith.

James Lee Havard Jr.

Services for James Lee Havard Jr., of Centreville, are 2 p.m.Thursday, March 25, at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Meadville,with burial in Talbert Cemetery in Amite County. Bro. BernardWaites and Bro. James Sanders will officiate.

Visitation is Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Havard, 50, died March 22, 2010, at Hospice Ministries inRidgeland. He was born in Wilkinson County on May 12, 1959, toJames Lee Havard Sr. and Peggy Byrd Havard.

He was employed with Louisiana Work Force.

Preceding him in death were his mother; his grandparents; and onenephew, Derrick Havard.

Survivors are his father, James Lee Havard Sr. and Helen Havard, ofNatchez; his brothers, Terry and Angie Havard, of McCall Creek, andRandy Havard, of Centreville; his sisters, Shirley Valentine, ofVidalia, La., and Debra Hart and husband Thomas, of Brookhaven;three nieces and two nephews.

Pallbearers are Clemon Wayne Durham, Darin David, David McKey, JoeMcKey, Greg Havard and Kenny Boykins. Honorary pallbearers are RayNetterville, Bud Evans, Kory Dewitt and Ben Smylie.

William Douglas Jenkins Sr.

Services for William Douglas Jenkins Sr., of Harvey, La., were heldon Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Saulters-Moore Funeral Home Chapelin Prentiss, with burial in Greens Creek Cemetery.

Mr. Jenkins, 67, died March 14, 2010, in River Ridge, La. He wasborn in Jefferson Davis County on Jan. 17, 1943, to Claude Jenkinsand Pauline Dyess Jenkins.

Before his retirement, he was a truck driver with Winn-Dixie Foodsfor more than 30 years. He was a member of Crescent City BaptistChurch in Metairie, La.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Rose MarieArnold Jenkins; two brothers and one sister.

Survivors are his son, Will Jenkins Jr., of Metairie; his stepson,Mike Prewett, of Atlanta, Ga.; his stepdaughter, Terri Anthony, ofHarvey; his brothers, Charles Jenkins and Robert Jenkins, both ofPrentiss, and Ralph Jenkins, of Carson; his sisters, LouiseHorning, of Prentiss, Katherine Temple and Brenda Raynes, both ofCarson; and his granddaughter.
