Zetus home lost in evening fire

A Thursday night fire at a Zetus Road home resulted in a totalloss of the structure, a volunteer fire department officialsaid.

Zetus Volunteer Fire Department Chief Dale Anding said the fireat 3036 Zetus Road was reported around 7:45 p.m. Thursday. OwnerJoyce Lee was not at home when the fire started.

The cause of the fire and its starting point have not beendetermined, Anding said.

“It was either in the living room or kitchen area,” Anding said.”We’re not sure where it ignited.”

Anding said the sheriff’s department was sending an investigatorto the scene.

Firefighters from Zetus, Hog Chain and Loyd Star volunteer firedepartments assisted in battling the blaze. Anding saidfirefighters returned to their stations around 10 p.m.

Anding complimented the team effort and coordination seen whilefighting the fire.

“The training we’ve been working on is really starting to payoff,” Anding said.
