Funeral services for Hilton Brown Jr., of Bogue Chitto, are 11a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 27, at New Prospect Baptist Church inBrookhaven, with burial in the church cemetery. Riverwood FamilyFuneral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Brown, 68, died Oct. 25, 2010, at Mississippi Baptist MedicalCenter in Jackson. He was born in Pike County on July 18, 1942, toHilton W. Brown Sr. and Irene Parsons Brown.

He was an ironworker from Local 469, and a self-employed loggersince 1983. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was amember of New Prospect Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman andhunter.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his grandparents, Penceand Ola Brown, and Frank and Mattie Parsons, and other familymembers

Survivors are his wife, Joyce Ann Brown, of Bogue Chitto; his sons,Kirby Brown and wife Michele, of Maryville Tenn., and Chad Brownand Tonya Brown of Brookhaven; his sisters, Martha Ann Callender ofRichland, Brenda Gail Case and Shirley Smith, both of Loyd Star,Sharon Hall and Frankie Leggett, both of Bogue Chitto; hisgrandchildren, Tyler Lee Brown, Audrey Kathryn Brown, Anna GraceBrown, Allie Elizabeth Brown and Adam Wesley Brown; and numerousnieces and nephews.
