Bessie Lou Adams, 89, of Brookhaven, died Friday, March 11,2011, at Silver Cross Home in Brookhaven.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, atPleasant Grove Baptist Church in Brookhaven with burial in thechurch cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive is incharge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from 9 a.m. until noon at the funeral home andat the church from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.

Mrs. Adams was born Nov. 23, 1921, to Franklin Marion Watts andAnnie Bell Posey Watts. She was a member of Pleasant Grove BaptistChurch.

Survivors include her sons, Herschel Adams and wife, Jo Ann, KennonAdams and wife, Karen, Randy Adams and wife, Debbie, and LanceAdams and wife, Melissa, all of Brookhaven; her daughters, JudyMorgan and husband, James, of Quitman, and Sandra Ray and husband,Michael, of Richland; her sister, Ruby Nell McCalip, of Natchez;her grandchildren, Le Ann Montgomery and husband, Phillip, KalaBurns, Karla Gerald and husband, Clint, Holli Pepper and husband,Will, Jake Adams, Chris Morgan and wife, Paula, Ethan Nations,Mallory Nations, Anna-Caroline Adams and Hayden Adams; and hergreat-grandchildren, Jaci Lee Montgomery, Nickolas Burns, MeganGerald, Tucker Gerald, Lake Morgan, Jackson Morgan, and JettMorgan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Adams; herparents, Franklin Marion Adams and Annie Bell Posey Adams; herdaughter-in-law, Lana Adams; and her brothers and sisters, GertrudeSmith, Clara Mae Smith, Columbus Watts, Loyd Watts, Perlie Wattsand Robert Watts.
