Funeral services for Michael Williams, of Los Angeles, Calif.,formerly of Brookhaven, were 11 a.m. on Monday, March 21, 2011 atHarrison-Ross Mortuary View Park Chapel in Los Angeles.

Mr. Williams, 57, died March 10, 2011, in Los Angeles. He was bornin Brookhaven Sept. 21, 1953, to Saul and Willie Mae Williams. Hewas the sixth born child of eight.

He was a graduate of Brookhaven High School. He accepted Christ atan early age and attended St. James Missionary Baptist Church. Hemoved to Los Angeles with family after his wife, Gloria JeanWilliams, died. He worked as a security guard at Wal-Mart for thelast 10 years. He loved family gatherings, watching television andcooking.

Preceding him in death were his parents, and his wife.

Survivors are his son, LaKendricks Williams, and wife, Victoria;five sisters, Marie Lane Townes and Jessie Williams, both of LosAngeles; Lula Mary Williams and Alberta Williams, both ofBrookhaven, and Lessie Thompson of Gardena, Calif; his brothers,James Earl Williams, and wife Sylvia, and Stanley Williams; onegrandchild, KenVarsite Williams; and many nieces and nephews.
