JACKSON — The South lost 9-4 Friday in the MAIS Class AA-AAA All-Star Baseball Game at Smith-Wills Stadium. The North scored three runs in each of the final 3 innings to claim the victory.

Brookhaven Academy’s Gage Posey played right field, left field and pitched 1 inning. Teammate Tanner Parvin pitched 1 inning and held the North hitless.

Brookhaven Academy coach Casey Edwards said the North also won the Class A game Friday night by a large margin.

Posey has signed a scholarship with Hinds Community College and Parvin plans to walk on at Co-Lin.
