Lady Bears crush Enterprise

The West Lincoln Lady Bears climbed back into the win column with a huge Region 7-2A win over the Enterprise Lady Yellow Jackets 13-6 Thursday night.

“Glad to get the win,” said West Lincoln coach Andrew Redd. “Our hitters did another good job at the plate, but our defense has to cut down on errors and play a lot cleaner.

West Lincoln (9-3, 3-1) continues action today as they travel to Natchez to take on the Natchez Cathedral Lady Green Wave. Junior varsity action starts at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity game at 6 p.m.

The Lady Jackets (5-9, 2-1) will also be in action today as they invade Meadville to battle the Franklin County Lady Bulldogs. JV action starts at 5 p.m.

West Lincoln 13, Enterprise 6 

Malori Hall pitched the victory for the Lady Bears with five strikeouts and two walks.

Haley Nations absorbed the setback for the Lady Jackets with no strikeouts and two walks.

Hall powered the Lady Bears at the plate with three singles. Brianna Fauver contributed a double and a single. Destiny Allen ripped a pair of singles. Hanna Moak had a triple. Hitting safely were Alli Mullins, Heather Moak, Peyton White and Micah Redd.

Carlee Nations, Jana Nations, Karley Burgess and Kalyn Chemin paced the Lady Jackets offense with a single apiece.

In junior varsity action,  The Lady Bears blanked the Lady Jackets 10-0.

Megan Gerald tossed the win for West Lincoln with five strikeouts and two walks.

Cadie Maxwell sparked the Lady Bears’ offense with a home run. Makennah Redd fueled the flames with a double and a single. Addie Spring provided two singles. Millane Lewis ripped a triple. Lexie Leggett, Anna Davis, Megan Gerald and McKenzie Pyles hit safely.
