Taylorsville baseball eliminates Enterprise in 1A quarters

A still young Enterprise baseball team saw its season end for a second straight season in the MHSAA 1A quarterfinals. The Yellow Jackets were no-hit in game one on Thursday at Taylorsville in a 10-0 loss.Game two started at EAC on Saturday but was delayed by foul weather after THS went up 5-0 after two innings. The game was finished on Sunday, with the Tartars moving on to the 1A semifinals via a 9-0 win.

Enterprise and coach Austin Hood reached the quarters last season with just one senior on the roster and lost to eventual state champion Resurrection Catholic. The 2024 squad is also losing only one senior to graduation this year in outfielder Gavin Regouffre.

The Jackets got three hits in game two with Haygan Floyd leading the way with a double.  Kelly Burgess and AJ Raiford also hit safely for Enterprise in the finale.Enterprise ends the season with a 19-13 overall record and Taylorsville (19-10) moves on to the 1A semifinals to face Resurrection Catholic (25-5).
