BUDE – Led by a six-run, fourth inning the Wesson Cobras collected a sweep of the Franklin County Diamond Dawgs 8-4.

Wesson beat FCHS Tuesday night also by an 8-4 score.

Tyler McLeod went the distance for the Cobras, striking out six in seven innings of play.

Connor Lowery and Jase Alexander each had two singles for two RBI’s to lead Wesson at the plate.

For FC, DeMartre Collins led the Bulldogs with two singles. Derrick Brumfield added two RBI’s for the Dawgs.

Both teams made three errors in the contest, the Bulldogs held and 3-2 lead in the game before Wesson exploded for six runs in the top of the fourth inning.

Wesson currently leads the District 7-3A race.
