FC archers prepare for State

MEADVILLE -The Franklin High Archery team is looking to repeat as State Champions as they prepare to defend their crown in Jackson next week.
The Bulldogs, coached by Todd Haygood and Connie Johnston, will be in action Wednesday April 16. The FC Archers recently placed first in the Tylertown meet last week.
The Top Archers for FC were the following: Jon Wilkinson 281, Josh Owen 279, Dakota Jones 275, Kenneth Davis 275, Erich Buckles 274, Scout Earls 273, Austin Wallace 272, Blake Smith 272, Leigh Beth Hurst 267, Kelsi Barron 265, Brittany Holloway 262, and Morgan Rushing 260.
Times for the State Archery Meet have yet to be announced, but Franklin County will most likely start shoot in the afternoon session.
The Bulldogs will take part in a tune-up for State, when they host Lawrence County and West Lincoln this Friday for a meet in Meadville. The action is set to begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Bulldog’s Gymnasium.
