Funeral Services for Herman A. Holmes of Maywood, Illinois, formerly of Brookhaven, are 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014, at Mt. Wade M.B. Church with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery. Williams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Holmes, 86, died Aug. 25, 2014, at Westmont, Illinois. He was born on Sept. 2, 1927, in Brookhaven to Augustus Brothern and Gussie Holmes Brothern.
