With her Bible, children, pasta and Coca-Cola, nothing is going to hold Robbie Fields down.

Fields has been a police officer for 17 years in Brookhaven. She majored in criminal justice at Jackson State University.

The 52-year- old said she loves her community, but her presence has been absent for a while.

“Many people have been asking where I’ve been,” Fields said. “I’ve been off work a few months from a knee injury I sustained while working.”

She said her family — daughters Beayunca and Raven Fields, son Edward Gutter and 5-year- old grandson Gervarius Crockett — keeps her going.

“I enjoy spending time with my children and supporting them through their everyday life challenges,” Fields said.

And let’s not forget her favorite meal, Alfredo Pasta at Georgia Blue. When she adds a Coke to that meal, her day is made.

“I’m addicted to Coca-Cola,” she said. “I have never gone a week without drinking a Coca-Cola.”

Fields said she can’t start her day off without reading her Bible. She hopes to be returning to work really soon to continue helping in her community.
