Lawrence County senior Sydney Pevey, at right, was selected MVP of the South team last weekend at the MAC All-Star Softball Game. The game is held yearly at Jones College and features the best rising seniors from around the state in a pair of games.

The MAC All-Star Softball Game is held yearly at Jones College and features the best rising seniors from around the state in a pair of games. Madi Miller of Brookhaven High was selected as part of the South 4A/5A/6A team. Miller is shown with BHS head coach Mandy Vincent and assistant coach Amy Motta, who coached the South team to a 4-2 victory.

Loyd Star senior Malori Cade was joined on the South 1A/2A/3A team by the Wesson duo of Catherine Wilson and Shelbi Maxwell.
