Lawrence County authorities say a body found Wednesday in a shallow grave in Sontag belong to a man reported missing by his family in Jackson.

The Mississippi State Crime Lab identified the man as Jonathan Nevell Jackson who was reported missing from Jackson July 31, according to the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.
