Coach Mandy Vinson and her Brookhaven High Lady Panthers (17-8) will be on the road Saturday at West Harrison in the opening round of the MHSAA slow-pitch playoffs.
On Monday the Lady Panthers reamed, steamed and dry-cleaned South Pike by a final score of 21-3. Meg Foster hit a grand slam for BHS while Kyla Henderson hit a triple and Angel Wilkinson added a double.
Tuesday night, the Lady Panthers put the finishing touches on the regular season with a trip to Meadville to play the Franklin County Lady Bulldogs. Senior Lulu Cook drove in five runs on the night in a 9-1 BHS win.
Last season, West Harrison traveled to Brookhaven where the Lady Panthers eliminated them in two games. The winner of their series moves on to play the winner of the Northwest Rankin and Clinton series.
