Search is on for Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber’s Miss Hospitality
The Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce is looking for its next Miss Hospitality.
The contest will take place March 8 at the Chamber.
“It will consist of a brief interview process and focuses on presence, composure and — of course — hospitality,” said Chamber Program Director Katie Nations. “Just participating in the contest will help the entrants in those areas.”
Miss Hospitality is open to young women between the ages of 18 and 24 by July who are graduating high school or enrolled in college. Participants must have a minimum of 2.5 GPA and live in Lincoln County.
Entry to the local program is $25 and applications will be available at the Chamber beginning Friday. Nations will also have applications available at area schools.
The winner will assist the Chamber during such events as grand openings, ribbon cuttings, festivals, parades and other community gatherings. She will also compete for the state title in Hattiesburg July 12-18.
