Storm shelter open in Brookhaven
UPDATE: As of 8 p.m., ths storm shelter at the Brookhaven/FEMA Building has closed.
Lincoln County EMA reports no severe damage and no storm-related injuries.
Due to the expected threat of severe weather striking the immediate area today, Lincoln County Emergency Management Director Clifford Galey has announced that a temporary storm shelter has been opened at the Brookhaven Building, also known as the FEMA Building, located at 1134 Beltline Drive NE.
Chairs, restrooms and a drinking fountain will be available. No pets permitted.
Shelter will close at 8 p.m. if the threat has passed.
