Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber celebrates business with ‘I Heart Local’

The annual Brookhaven-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce Girls Night Out event did not take place this year due to shelter-in-place orders, but the Chamber had other ideas to make up for it.
Girls Night In took place the afternoon and evening of April 2, with special online offers, specials and discounts from participating local businesses. The unique event helped participants to do just what the Chamber hoped — “Support local businesses like never before!”
Now there’s a second opportunity.
“I Heart Local” is a chance to participate in all the fun, eating, shopping and “goodies” as the annual Girls Night Out, but for 18 full days of supporting local businesses.
The $20 tickets include an “I Heart Local” t-shirt, coupon book and a $10 meal voucher valid June 15-July 4. The first 500 ticket holders will also receive a tote bag.
Tickets can be purchased at the Chamber or any participating business for $20 each. Curbside service will be offered on redeeming the ticket at the Chamber any day of the event from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
“We are excited to say Brookhaven is open for business!” said Katie Nations, Chamber program director. “Our small businesses have taken all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of their patrons. Our hope in creating this event is to remind everyone the value of supporting local retailers and restaurants like never before. Tickets are limited for this, so please give us a call or stop by any where you see the ‘I Heart Local’ sign to purchase.”
