Krewe of Ceres names 2021 Charity Ball escorts

The 2021 Krewe of Ceres Charity Ball will be April 10. Here are this year’s escorts.
Samuel Salter Adcock
Samuel Salter Adcock is the son Mr. and Mrs. Todd Adcock. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Burdine and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Adcock. Adcock is a 2019 Honors graduate of Brookhaven High School. He as a member of the National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and a Mississippi Scholar. He was a member of the varsity baseball team and participated in the homecoming production throughout high school. He served as a homecoming escort for two years.
Adcock has volunteered many hours to various organizations including Dixie Youth Baseball, Junior Auxiliary Wish Tree, Lincoln County Republican Party, First Baptist Church Vacation Bible School, Upward Basketball and Krewe of Ceres.
He was the recipient of Lincoln County Young Replication of the year scholarship, ACT scholarship, State Bank & Trust Scholarship and a Mississippi Scholars Scholarship — Dr. and Mrs. Britt Scholarship.
Adcock is currently a sophomore at Copiah-Lincoln Community College majoring in pre-nursing where he is on the Dean’s List. He is a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. He plans to further his education at the University of Southern Mississippi. He attends First Baptist Church. Adcock served as a trainbearer to the court and both his siblings Robert and Sarah Todd served as trainbearers to the court.
Grayson Carter Anding
Grayson Carter Anding is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jason B. Anding. He is the grandson of Mrs. Janice Anding Buford, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Allen Moak and the late Mr. Nelson Anding. His sisters are Marin Elizabeth Anding and Amelia Kate Anding.
Gray is a 2019 honor graduate of Brookhaven High School where he was a member of the National Honor Society and a Mississippi Scholar. He was chosen to attend the Mississippi Governor’s School where he was selected as Co-Chair for the class of 2017. His other involvements included the Quiz Bowl Team, the soccer team and the varsity tennis team where he was a 5A Mixed Doubles Semifinalist and received the Tennis Panther Award. His high school awards included Star Student, Presidential Scholar, Eminent Scholar, MHSAA Lindy Callahan Scholar Athlete, Colvard Future Leader, Academic Excellence and the Dave Swalm Scholarship.
Gray is a sophomore in the Shackouls Honors College of Mississippi State University where he is majoring in Aerospace Engineering and currently serves as an Executive Member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. His community activities include the Limelight Make A Wish Fundraiser and the Brickfire Mentoring Program. He attends Faith Presbyterian Church.
Cade Borden Brown
Cade Borden Brown is the son of Mr. Winky and Tracy Brown, and the grandson of Winston and Liz Brown, Patricia Thomas and the late Carlos Borden. Cade is a 2019 graduate of Brookhaven Academy. He was voted Class Favorite his junior year and senior year and voted Mr. Brookhaven Academy. He was a member of the National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, and involved with the History Club, Science Club, Teenage Republicans and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Cade was a member of the varsity football team. He was selected to the MAIS Pre Season Grid Iron Team. Cade was also selected to the MAIS All District and All State teams his junior and senior years, and was selected to play in the All Star game his senior year. He received the KDMC Offensive Player of the Year award in which he received a scholarship. Cade was also a member of the varsity basketball team where he was MAIS All District, All State and participated in the All Star game. He was also a member of the varsity baseball team. Cade was awarded the AT&T scholarship.
Cade is currently a sophomore attending Copiah-Lincoln Community College where he is pursuing a career in automation and control. Cade attends New Sight Baptist Church.
Dawson Drew Flowers
Dawson Drew Flowers is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald David Flowers. He is the grandson of Mrs. Helen Hollis Flowers and the late Donald Larson Flowers and Mrs. Erma Nell Howard Gatlin and the late Loyce Lavoid Howard Sr.
Dawson is a 2019 Highest Honors Graduate of Brookhaven Academy where he was valedictorian and a member of the Brookhaven Academy Hall of Fame. He was a member of the National Honor Society, ACT 30-Plus Club, FCA and President of the Student Body. He was a Wendy’s Heisman Top Ten Finalist and a Mississippi Scholar. Dawson played football, basketball and baseball for the Cougars, playing on four State Championship teams and received several athletic honors including All-State in all three sports and MAIS AA Player of the Year in Basketball. He was the recipient of the MAIS Don Souder Award naming him the 2019 “Male Athlete of the Year.” He received several scholarships including ACT Scholarship and MS Scholars Bank of Brookhaven.
Dawson is currently a sophomore at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College majoring in kinesiology. He is a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and has been on the President’s List (4.0 gpa) each semester. Dawson plays on the MGCCC Baseball team where he received MACJC and NACJC Academic All-American. He plans to attend Northwestern State University to continue baseball and his education. Dawson attends Heucks Retreat Baptist Church.
Gayton Land Johnson
Gayton Land Johnson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Leslie Johnson. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Wayne Land and Mrs. Barbara Johnson and the late Mr. Leslie James Johnson.
Gayton is a 2019 graduate of Brookhaven High School where he successfully completed six college level classes, maintaining a 4.0 GPA. He was chosen to participate and won several academic competitions. Gayton scored 31 on the ACT and received multiple academic scholarships. He is also a member of MENSA.
Gayton is currently studying biology at Copiah-Lincoln Community College. He is a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and has maintained a 4.0 GPA. Upon completion of his current studies, he plans to continue in medicine. He served as secretary and directing officer of the Co-Lin College Republicans and wrote its constitution. Gayton has also done extensive research into European history and is an avid political enthusiast. He is currently working as assistant manager at Jack’s Ice Cream Shop.
Gayton attends Faith Presbyterian Church, where he has served in many capacities. He has been an actor and youth helper for several Vacation Bible Schools. He worked individually with children in the Special Needs Ministry. He was also Senior Youth Advisor and Games and Activities Director his senior year. Gayton served as trainbearer to the court. His mother, Brandy Elizabeth Land Johnson, served as trainbearer, maid and queen of the court.
Daniel Vincent Panzica
Daniel Vincent Panzica is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard J Panzica. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Robert V. Panzica and Mrs. Diane Allen and the late Mr. John “Buddy” Allen. He is a 2019 graduate of Brookhaven High School. He was a member of the Varsity Tennis Team where he was the recipient of the Panther Award as a senior, two-time team MVP and two time doubles State Champion. Panzica was a member of the Red Nation and FCA. He was a recipient of the ACT Scholarship, Helen Panzica Scholarship and received a Jones Community College Tennis Scholarship.
He is currently a sophomore at Jones College majoring in Education. He is a member of the Jones College tennis team and recognized as an ITA Scholar Athlete. He plans to continue his education at Mississippi State University in the fall of 2021.
He attends First Baptist Church where he participated in the church choir, praise team and Rock Solid. His father Daniel served as an escort on the court.
Carson Crawford Rounsaville
Carson Crawford Rounsaville is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clint Rounsaville. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Rounsaville and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Feduccia.
Carson is a 2019 graduate of Brookhaven Academy. He was a Mississippi Scholar and an honor roll graduate. He was a member of the FCA Leadership team, Science Club, History Club and Teenage Republican Society. He was a member of the varsity soccer team for six years and played baseball and golf. He was chosen to play in the MAIS all-star game and was a Clarion Ledger MS Preps All State recipient in soccer. He received a soccer scholarship from Pearl River Community College, Servitium club scholarship and the Hannah Hart memorial scholarship.
Carson attended Pearl River Community College and played soccer in 2019. He is currently a sophomore at Copiah-Lincoln Community College majoring in automation and control. He is a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
Carson’s mother, Christy Rounsaville, served as a maid on the court and his father, Clint Rounsaville, served as an escort on the court. Carson attends First Baptist Church.
Wesley Tanner Thurman
Wesley Tanner Thurman is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Christopher Thurman. Tanner is the grandson of Mrs. Myra Allgood Thurman and the late Mr. Charles Richard Thurman and Mrs. Ann Johnson Camp and the late Mr. James Arnold Camp.
Tanner is a 2019 special honors graduate of Brookhaven Academy where he was salutatorian and a Mississippi Scholar. He was elected to the Brookhaven Academy Hall of Fame and served as President of the Senior Class, National Science Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Tanner was chosen as Most Likely to Succeed, Best Christian Character and Most Courteous. He received the FCA Bill Buckner Character Award, Will Valentine Junior Auxiliary Memorial Scholarship, John R. Gray Good Character Scholarship, Presidential Volunteer Community Service Award and HOBY Academic All-Star Award for his commitment to high achievement and community service. Tanner was a member of the varsity tennis team and — as a member of the State Champion Cougar basketball team — he was named to the Class AA South State and State All-Tournament teams, First Team District 3 All-Conference, Class AA All-MAIS, Class AA All Star game and was the MAIS three-point shootout champion.
Tanner is currently a sophomore at Mississippi College majoring in business administration and plans to pursue a Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy upon graduation. He is a redshirt freshman on the MC Men’s Basketball Team and is an active, lead-team member of MC’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He has been named to the President’s or Dean’s List each semester.

Braxton Rials Wallis
Braxton Rials Wallis is the son of Mr. David Teaster and Ms. Brittany Rials and the late Mr. Shane Wallis. He is the grandson of the late Mr. Albert Sidney Rials and Carmen Rials. He is also the grandson Mr. Mickey Wallis and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Wallace.
Braxton is a 2019 graduate of Brookhaven High School where he kept an all-A and B record. He was a member of the National Honor Society and he was an MS Scholar. He participated on the tennis team where he won a state championship in 2019 with now-college teammate and fellow escort Daniel Panzica. He was a recipient of a Tennis Scholarship and ACT Scholarship.
Braxton is currently a sophomore at Jones College majoring in general studies. After Jones, he plans to continue furthering and expanding his production company Braxton Wallis Media. There he works as a photographer, cinematographer and creative director. He and the rest of his team have had the pleasure of working with some of the world’s top brands such as Nike, Jeep and Doc Martens. Braxton is also a member of Creative Club Chicago where he gets to provide educational content to other aspiring creatives along with his partners Eric Floberg, Aaron Bean and Mike Williams.
Braxton’s sister, Morgan Wallis, served as a maid to the court. Braxton attends Topisaw Baptist Church.
John Coker Wright
John Coker Wright is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Richard Wright Jr. He is the grandson of Mr. Richard Wright, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Fisher and Mr. Roland E. Lea and the late Doris Coker Lea.
Coker is a 2019 Honors graduate of Brookhaven High School and a member of the National Honor Society. He volunteered for various service projects, was a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and selected a Beau in Who’s Who. He was a varsity member of the football and baseball teams. Coker’s awards in High School include: Football Team Captain, Letterman, All-SES Team, Pre-Season SES Top 10, First Team All-Region, Under-Armor All-American and Blue-Grey All-Star All-American, MS-AL All-Star, had 27 college football offers, baseball Letterman and First Team All-Region.
Coker is at the University of Southern Mississippi majoring in healthcare marketing. He is a member of the USM Football Team and was selected as Freshman All-Conference, the second freshman to start on the offensive line in Southern Miss history and a two-year starter. He is a Fellowship of Christian Athletes leader.
Coker attends Fair River Baptist Church.
