BPD, MHP arrest 7 for DUI

Brookhaven Police Department officers and Mississippi Highway Patrol troopers arrested seven people Saturday and Sunday on charges of driving under the influence.
Police arrested three Brookhaven residents Saturday on multiple charges, including DUI-first. Javes Ulysses Lewis, 39, of 416 S Washington St., was booked into the Lincoln County Jail at 1:12 p.m. His charges also include driving with suspended license, no auto insurance, failure to yield right-of-way to an emergency vehicle, disobeying a traffic control device, and a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana.
Willie Joseph Gayten Jr., 26, of 374 SE Hwy. 583, was charged with DUI first, failure to yield right-of-way to an emergency vehicle, failure to dim headlights, careless driving and disorderly conduct/disobeying a lawful order. He was booked into the jail at 1:52 p.m.
Officers also arrested Dustin Thompson, 39, after 10 p.m. Thompson, of 1967 Old Hwy. 51, was also charged with property damage and leaving the scene of an accident.
MHP troopers booked two into the jail just after 10 p.m. Sunday. Jayden Terrell Foster, 19, of Natchez, was charged with DUI first. Charles Wadsworth, 41, of McComb, was charged with DUI first, no/expired tag, no auto insurance and possession of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoids in a motor vehicle.
BPD officers arrested Lasedrick Kelly, 38, of 303 South Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, about 11 p.m. Sunday on the charge of DUI-second offense.
Jamon Jake Jackson, 41, of 501 Eastgate, was arrested and booked into the jail just before 11 p.m. on charges of DUI-first and no/expired tag.
