BA athletes take part in MAIS All-Star games

Seven student-athletes and one coach from Brookhaven Academy participated in recent all-star games put on by the Midsouth Association of Independent Schools (MAIS) at Jackson Prep.

Senior basketball player (left) Tyler Fortenberry earned MVP honors for his team in the 4A-5A-6A All-Star game for boys’ basketball. Pictured with Fortenberry is fellow MVP pick Allen Teague of Madison-St. Joe and Dr. Allen Smithers of the MAIS.

The BA soccer team was also well represented in the boys’ soccer match. Brookhaven Academy seniors (from left) Sam Smith, Corey Case and Enrique Hernandez were all picked for the game after leading the Cougars to an 18-2 record this season.
