Loyd Star honors soccer players at annual banquet

The Loyd Star soccer team recently held a soccer banquet where members of the 2021-2022 boys’ and girls’ teams were honored. Both Loyd Star soccer teams are coached by Jordan Lea.

Awards for the boys’ team include: Peyton Warren (MVP Award, 1st Team All-District), Cooper Creel (Best Offensive Player Award, 1st Team All-District), Brantley Walker (Best Defensive Player, 1st Team All-District); Mason Smith (Most Improved Award), Carter Holcomb (Rookie of the Year, 1st Team All-District), James Goodwin (Most Improved Award, 1st Team All-District), Cooper Reid (1st Team All-District); Caleb Smith (Hustle Award, 1st Team All-District), Matthew Sosa (Captain Award, 1st Team All-Distirict).

Awards for the girls’ team include: Emma Britt (1st Team All-District), Chloe Rodriquez (Rookie of the Year, 1st Team All-District), Emily Douglas (Captain Award, 1st Team All-District), Maya Wyant (2nd Team All-District), Ady Locke (Hustle Award, 1st Team All-District); Wednesday Warren (2nd Team All-District), Arryanna Rushing (Most Improved Award, 1st Team All-District), Mary Claire McCurley (Region 7-2A MVP, Team MVP, 1st Team All-District), Brooke Cade (Best Defensive Player, 1st Team All-District), Macy East (Most Improved, 1st Team All-District), Abby Burnette (Region 7-2A Offensive MVP, Team Offensive MVP, 1st Team All-District).
