‘Mommy & Me Princess Tea’ will benefit the American Cancer Society

For every little girl who loves to dress like a princess and for every mom who wants to support cancer research — or vice versa — the “Mommy & Me Princess Tea” on April 9 is sure to satisfy.

Mothers and daughters are encouraged to attend the event at The Butterfield Mansion dressed as their favorite princesses and enjoy the festivities. The cost is $30 per duo, and $10 for each additional person.

Organizer and American Cancer Society representative Stacie Cross said the response was so great to the first Princess Tea, in 2019, that two times are offered this year.

“We had probably 200 people,” Cross said. “The two sessions will divide that up so more people can participate in the activities without being crowded.”

The first session is 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., and the second is 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.

“We will have all your favorite Disney princesses available,” Cross said. “We’ll have a ‘tea’ with punch and cookies, an opportunity to take pictures with the princesses and some fun activities.”

A meet-and-greet session will be followed by “tea time,” photo opportunities and various activities that include additional opportunities to donate to cancer research. All donations and proceeds will go to The American Cancer Society.

“I’ve got to thank Sam Sones of Farm Bureau and Claire Crow at The Mortgage Company for their sponsorship,” Cross said. “This is a fun time for moms and daughters to get out, and to celebrate for a cause.”

Tickets can be purchased online or by emailing or calling Cross at stacie.cross@cancer.org or 770-893-7074.
