The Military Memorial Museum in Brookhaven is open today until 12:30 p.m., in honor of Memorial Day.

The volunteer-staffed museum, on South Whitworth Avenue in the old train depot, is open for regular hours every Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., or by appointment.

The museum charges no admission to the collection of photos, artifacts, and personal items of area veterans, plus displays of military equipment as old as World War I.
