Letter to the editor: Grass is keeping us from walking

Published 12:00 pm Saturday, August 20, 2022

I’m concerned about the grass cutting in the county, especially in Norfield, Bogue Chitto. We have two monuments here — one historical monument for Norfield and one for the officers and others who were killed. So why don’t the supervisors keep it pretty?

We can’t walk in the community. Several of the senior citizens want to walk in the early morning when it’s cool, but we can’t because the grass is too tall and it isn’t safe to walk in the road. We can’t get over off the road.

It would very nice if they would keep it cut. We would just love to get up and go walk in our neighborhood. I’m not the only one who feels this way — we talk about it as neighbors.
