Have you written a letter to Santa?

The post offices are gearing up for the extra load and I’m sure the elves are prepping to help jolly ol’ Saint Nick for the millions of letters that will arrive for Santa Claus at the North Pole this year.

But have you written your letter to Santa?

Very soon, school teachers around the city and county will ask children to write short letters to Santa Claus. Those will be shared with us here at The Daily Leader, and we’ll publish them so that parents and other family can know what the children want, too. Plus, it can be fun and heart-warming to read the letters.

Other letters can be submitted to Santa by dropping them off at the newspaper’s office at 128 N Railroad Ave. We’ll even have a red box outside the front door so letters can be dropped off when the office is closed.

Every letter received will be printed prior to Christmas. And mailed to Santa Claus, of course.

Our deadline to receive these letters is Friday, Dec. 9, so don’t wait too long to encourage your children, grandchildren, students or other children to write their letters to Santa. We hope you’ll participate. It’s what we want for Christmas!
