Two separate incidents this week resulted in injuries to three individuals in Brookhaven.

On Monday, at approximately 11 p.m., shots were fired into an occupied dwelling. One person in the home was struck and wounded by shrapnel, according to Assistant Chief of Police Clint Earls.

The name of the victim is being withheld, as well as leads on suspects, pending investigation.

In a separate incident Tuesday, two juveniles suffered gunshot wounds.

Earls said the two were friends and possibly injured one another while playing with guns. Names and further details were also withheld, due to the age of those involved and the ongoing investigation.
