The Copiah-Lincoln women’s basketball team fought back from a halftime deficit to earn a 72-63 win over Southern University-Shreveport on Monday.

The win puts the team at 11-1 on the season and gave CLCC head coach Gwyn Young career victory No. 999.

A winner of eight state titles in his 47 year career at the school, Young is a member of the NJCAA Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame, the Copiah-Lincoln Sports Hall of Fame and the Mississippi Association of Community College Conferences (MACCC) Hall of Fame.

Thursday at 6 p.m., Co-Lin will look to make it an even 1,000 wins for their coach when the Wolves host East Mississippi CC in Mullen Gymnasium.
