A fugitive described as armed and dangerous by police has been arrested.

Lajohntae Miquan Fields, 21, was arrested by Brookhaven Police and booked into the Lincoln County Jail Wednesday afternoon.

Police were searching for Fields, of 506 East Minnesota St., who was accused of shooting into a car occupied by female juveniles and small children. Two people were injured in the shooting.

On Monday, Jan. 23, two other subjects believed to be involved in the crime were taken into custody during a warrant operation that involved the Brookhaven Police Department Special Response Team, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, and Mississippi Bureau of Investigation.
