MHP works six weekend wrecks in Lincoln, Lawrence counties

Troopers from Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop M responded to six wrecks Saturday and Sunday in Lincoln and Lawrence counties.
The first was at 6:04 a.m. on Hwy. 51 N at Newman Trail NE. No one was injured in the one-vehicle wreck.
Two vehicles collided in a 7:12 p.m. wreck on Hwy. 51 at Forest Trail NE. Occupants suffered minor injures.
Four wrecks occurred on Sunday. Two were on Interstate 55. The first was at 5:16 a.m. in the southbound lanes near mile marker 27. Two vehicles collided, but no one was injured. One person was injured in a 7:19 p.m. single-vehicle wreck on the northbound side at exit 48.
Two other wrecks were in Lawrence County.
The first was a two-vehicle wreck at 2:42 p.m. on Hwy. 27 N at Mt. Olive Road north of Wanilla. The second was a one-vehicle wreck at 8:34 p.m., on Hwy. 587 at Spence Lane. Neither crash resulted in injuries.
