A fire Sunday night on South Washington Street destroyed a home and a vehicle.

Brookhaven Fire Department responded at 10:48 p.m. to the residence at 610 South Washington, according to Fire Chief Jeff Ainsworth.

The blaze spread to the pickup truck parked close by, consuming it as well. Firefighters contained the fire to the property, and were able to leave it just after midnight.
